Studio A combines bold seamless backdrops, rich natural light, and a stylish lifestyle corner with vintage-inspired furniture and decorative wall moldings. Learn more about it below.

  • Complementary Equipment: Four C-stands, two rolling light stands, 86" seamless backdrops, XLR cables, three heavy duty extension cords, and a variety of grip accessories including clamps, gaff tape, sandbags and apple boxes.

    Additionally, professional continuous and strobe lighting, modifiers, and tripods can be added to your booking for a flat fee. Please check our add-ons section.

  • We have 86" Savage seamless backdrops in cocoa (light brown), crimson (dark red), coral (pink), olive green, chestnut (dark brown), focus gray, egg nog (light beige), sky blue, black, tech green, and super white.

  • We are just steps away from the Dupont Metro Station. Studio A includes a reserved parking space behind the building. Additional free street parking is available for up to two hours, and a parking garage directly across the street can accommodate any extra vehicles you may need to park.

  • Our space is generally quiet. Noise from the street below can occasionally be heard. On Thursday-Saturday nights nearby restaurants may play music that can be heard faintly in the space. There is another studio across the hall, and the two spaces share a staging area. If you need maximum control over noise, we recommend booking both studios. This gives you the entire floor to yourself and the option to have the HVAC turned off.

  • You will receive instructions to access the space. Our space can be accessed via two flights of stairs.

  • You can reschedule your booking for free anytime up to 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made at least 7 days before the booking receive a full refund. If you cancel between 7 days and 24 hours before your booking, you’ll receive a 50% refund.

  • We have multiple studios in the building. Please use only the studio you’ve booked. Accessing any unbooked studios may result in additional fees.

    Setup and breakdown time is included in the hours booked.

    Smoking is prohibited inside the building, including the studio, bathroom, makeup room, and stairwell.

    If you are playing music please keep the volume at a level that will not disturb other businesses and guests in the building. If you need to play music at higher volumes please book our full floor on weekends or after 7pm on weekdays.

    Staying beyond your booked time will incur a charge of up to $65 per additional hour. Let us know ahead of time if you need to extend your booking to avoid added charges. If another production is scheduled after your booking, you are required to vacate the studio promptly at the end of your reserved time.

    You will be responsible for covering the cost of repairs or replacements for any equipment, furniture, or studio items that are damaged. Any items removed from the studio will also require reimbursement for replacements.

    All guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the booking.

    Alcohol is allowed only when all attendees are 21 or older.

    Smoke machines and glitter are not permitted without prior permission. Please contact us if you wish to use fog machines or glitter.
